About Free Passport Photo
A free way to make a passport or visa photo at home, without paying a booth.
Free Passport Photo does one thing. You pick your document, add a selfie, and line your head up with the guide lines on a frame drawn at the true size. Then you download one photo and a print sheet. There is no account, no watermark and no limit.
Why we made it
A passport photo booth costs a few pounds for something you can do yourself with a phone and a plain wall. The hard part is getting the size and the head position right. So we made a frame with a ruler and guide lines that show exactly what the official page asks for.
How it works
Choose the country and document, add a photo, then drag and zoom until the top of your head touches the crown line and your chin sits between the dashed lines. Download the single photo for online forms, or the 6x4 inch sheet to print at a photo kiosk, which usually costs pennies.
We never see your photos.
Where the measurements come from
Every size and head height comes from the official government page for that document, and each page links to it. We only add a country once we can check its measurements there.
Who is behind it
Free Passport Photo is made by Nine By Sixteen Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16391278). Registered office: Suite RA01, 195-197 Wood Street, London E17 3NU. We size and crop your photo to the official measurements. The passport office decides if it is accepted, so check it against their rules.
